Hello, my name is Amarillo
I’ve been struggling with urinary problems for some time. About a month ago, I had to be hospitalized and a urinary catheter was placed so I could urinate again. Sadly, I’ve relapsed and I’m suffering once more.
My veterinarians now recommend a surgery called Perineal Urethrostomy (PU), which will give me a chance to urinate normally again, live without pain, and prevent future life-threatening blockages.
My Diagnosis
Recurrent urethral obstruction caused by Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD).
The Surgery I Need
This surgery will greatly improve my quality of life and give me the opportunity to be a happy, healthy cat again without the constant risk of urinary blockages and emergencies.
Estimated Cost: $ 800
Unfortunately, my family cannot afford the full cost of the surgery on their own. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to getting the treatment I need.
How You Can Help
Donate whatever you can.
Share my story with others.
Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
With your support, I can get back to a life without pain and enjoy being a playful, happy cat again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️
HOSPITALIZATION UPDATE (June 20th): Amarillo is officially hospitalized at Praga Vet's Clinic! Here is his live medical chart. Vets verified his urethra is severely inflamed with a thick mucous plug. He is already on IV fluids, receiving Tramadol for pain, Omeprazole for his stomach, and Prazosin (a real urethral relaxant) to lower the swelling before placing the catheter safely without tearing his tissues. He is stable with a perfect temperature (38.5°C). We still need to clear the hospital balance and pay for his final ultrasound in 3 days. Please help us by sharing or donating to his GoFundMe or Cash App ($rf1401). Thank you for saving his life!
CRITICAL EMERGENCY UPDATE (June 20th): Amarillo's catheter failed! Vets just reported that his urethra is completely blocked and the standard urinary catheter DID NOT PASS. They had to perform an emergency decompression with a micro-catheter to empty his bladder and save his life from a fatal kidney failure. If the next attempt fails in the coming hours, HE NEEDS URGENT LIFE-SAVING PU SURGERY TODAY. The surgery and hospital costs have skyrocketed to $600 USD (including the procedure and intensive post-op care). I urgently need your help to save my 11-month-old baby. Please share or donate right now. Every minute counts!
