Help Me Pay Off My Mom’s Debt & College

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

After posting a video to my TikTok, I was told by multiple people to make a GoFundMe.

When my mom passed away from terminal stomach cancer in 2020, 2 days after my 17th birthday, I found myself left to manage her estate and her debts. Being her only child, she left me her worldly possessions - ultimately that was just her house, her car, and her life insurance which went to her medical bills from the year long cancer treatments.

She died with just under $200,000 in debt. I know $8,000 is no where close, but I want to be realistic and I’m asking for help; not dependency. I feel like $8,000 is enough to get us caught up on immediate debts and bills, to the point where we can over time, cover the remainder ourselves.

In 2021 when I was a senior in High School, I got my first job and paid off her car. That same year, my boyfriend moved in with me after his own dad abandoned him, fled the state, and left him homeless on the streets. Being a victim of parental abusive myself, and not having anyone left with my mom’s passing, I took him in. It may have been self destructive but I couldn’t stand by and do nothing the way nothing was done for me.

He got a job and we both started working to pay off debts and make ends meet. Things got easier with 2 sources of income despite our jobs being minimum wage part time jobs.

I quickly learned how expensive college is on top of a $1,650 mortgage payment. We started falling behind. The mortgage, car insurance, phone bills, internet, and electric started to overwhelm. So I switched my college schedule from full time to part time and got a second part time job.

I’m 2023 I found myself pregnant, we didn’t believe it at first after my doctors and gynecologists had confirmed that I was infertile. They ran tests and said I had a tilted uterus, PCOS, and a significant hormonal deficiency. My fiancé had oliglozoospermia as well so we thought any chance of a baby was out of the question, especially since I was on birth control. When we did find out, my OBGYN told me my daughter could very well the only child I get to have.

Now, we’re working paycheck to paycheck and somehow I ended up with 3 jobs, 2 full times and one “at home” phone job. Every paycheck I get goes to a bill and then I’m still left trying to scramble the piece a for the rest of them.

All this being said, I had to ask for help - seeing so many creators ask for help when they’re already incredibly stable made me realize there’s no shame in it when you’re doing everything you can on your part and continuing to do so.

So if you feel generous, feel free to donate or even just share to someone who can! Spreading the word is just as impacting!<3

Thank you in advance, and to anyone who’s in the same boat, we got this. Don’t give up!
