Greetings family and friends! I got laid off in May, and I’m at end of my financial rope. I’ve worked hard, and saved my pennies, but 5 months of unemployment doesn’t go far in California.

The good news is that I’m halfway to paying rent for November. But with the first of the month coming, I need the other half as quickly as possible.

Thank you (from myself, Bear and Mew) to so many wonderful people in my life who’ve kept me afloat mentally, spiritually and sometimes financially. I intend to make this my one and only request for help. I don’t know what’s next for me, but it seems clear that the Bay Area is done with me.
