Hi, I’m Elizabeth and this is very difficult. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do and I’ve been disabled since I was 13 with M.E. (Long Covid’s less popular cousin)

I have been waiting to have my disability case processed for over 3 years, and with how disability laws are in this country I haven’t been allowed to make any income. This is by design, and most people have to give up due to lack of funds or become homeless. Because of my illness I have never been able to make enough to support myself, and the one business I was able to freelance for has had to layoff most of its staff because of the tariffs. So even if I did give up this years long fight, I now have nothing to go back to.

I have only been able to live because of the mutual aid from friends and loved ones, but now because of the economic downturn, that is no longer the case. I am 3 months behind in rent and am in danger of losing my housing. I am also desperately in need of medical/dental work because I am currently in the insurance coverage gap. It took over a year to get what was cancer out of my face and I was only able to get my abscessed wisdom teeth out a year ago.

I know times are extremely hard for many people, but anything is appreciated.
