I recently faced an unexpected setback with my car, which needed urgent repairs right before my planned move to Arizona. Thankfully, the repairs have been completed, but I still need to pay my mechanic. This move is important to me because I want to be there for my daughter and 3-year-old grandson, and also to improve my own financial situation. I had everything lined up, but these car issues have made things much more difficult.
My car is not just a way to get around—it’s essential for my work as a residential house cleaner contractor. I supply all my own equipment and rely on my vehicle to get to clients and transport everything I need. It’s also how I’ll help my daughter and grandson once I arrive in Arizona. Having the car repaired means I can continue working and supporting my family, but I still need help covering the costs.
My move is scheduled for June 5th, with the truck being loaded that day and leaving on the 6th. I need to pay a deposit to the moving company before the end of this week to lock in the lower rate, otherwise the cost will go up to summer rates. I’ve donated most of my furniture to people in need to get the cheapest rate, and I’m working as many hours as possible to save up. I had help lined up for the move, but that fell through, and now I’m feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. I feel awful even asking, but I don’t know what else to do. Any support—whether it’s a donation or sharing my story—would mean so much and it would mean the world to me for any help.
