اسمي عمر العقباني سوري مقيم في بيروت و عازف عود
محترف. درست الموسيقى في المعهد العالي للموسيقى في سوريا وثم في الكونسرفتوار الوطني اللبناني. تجربتي الموسيقية تتجاوز ال٢٠ سنة في سعي متواصل للتجربة والتعلّم والتطور . انتقلت بشكل قسري إلى لبنان منذ قرابة ال٥ سنوات وحاليا أنا غير قادر على مواصلة حياتي ومثقل بالأعباء الاقتصادية والنفسية بحيث انني لا أستطيع الاستمرار على طريق هدفي وطموحي. وأهم التحديات التي أواجهها هي صعوبة خلق حلول مادية وذلك بسبب الانهيار الاقتصادي الذي تعاني منه لبنان خصوصا والمنطقة عموما ، وعليه فأنا أمام مفترق طرق ربما سيودي في نهاية المطاف إلى أن أخسر حلمي وسنوات تمريني الطويلة وعدم قدرتي على إكمال طريقي.. وذلك إذا اضطررت إلى العودة بشكل قسري إلى بلدي وعدم قدرتي على إكمال سعيي الموسيقي وتطوير تجربتي. ولذلك فإن الحل الوحيد الذي أراه حاليا هو اطلاق حملة جمع تبرعات أخاطب بها بطريقة مباشرة محبي الفنون والثقافة وأعرض عليهم نتاجي دون الحاجة لأن أتمثل بالأجندات و المعايير المتدنية للجمعيات والمؤسسات الممولة للفنانين. وكعربون تقدير سأقوم بتحميل ساعة موسيقى سولو على العود سأُعدها كرد جميل لمن ساهم في هذه الحملة .
"My name is Omar Al-Akabani, a professional Syrian oud player, I live in Beirut Lebanon,. I studied music at the Higher Institute of Music in Syria and later at the Lebanese National Conservatory. With over 20 years of musical experience, I've been continuously seeking to experiment, learn, and evolve. I was forced to move to Lebanon about 5 years ago, and currently, I am unable to sustain my life. I bear economic and psychological burdens, hindering me from pursuing my goals and ambitions. The main challenges I face include the difficulty of finding financial solutions due to the economic collapse in Lebanon. I find myself at a crossroads that might ultimately lead to losing my dream and the years of extensive training if I'm forced to return to my country, unable to continue my musical journey and develop my experience. Therefore, the only solution I see now is to launch a fundraising campaign, directly addressing art and culture enthusiasts. I would present my work without the need to conform to the agendas and low standards of funded artistic associations. As a token of appreciation, I will upload a one-hour solo oud music performance, dedicated to those who contribute to this campaign."
