Help me pay for urgent dental care
Donation protected
Well, a lifetime of mental health struggles has culminated this year in a need for urgent dental care. I'm looking at paying around $8,000 for dental healthcare over the next two years, none of which I can afford to put off for any longer (otherwise, my dentist tells me that they'll turn into extractions instead of fillings and crowns). Any financial help is greatly appreciated, and I'll be in your debt for a long while. I'm not proud to admit that I failed to take care of myself consistently throughout my late teens and early adult life, but I can't move forward with the healthy life I've cultivated until I deal with the consequences. I love you all and treasure your friendship, whether you donate or not.
Any funds that don't go towards paying for my procedures will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI is a non-profit organization that strives to fill the gap for people who struggle with mental health and need assistance in getting, finding, and maintaining professional help and community support. A local support group helped me feel heard and understood in my early 20s, and even though I'm not active in that group anymore, their mission is critical to me.
Cheers,
James
