Help me pay for Tali's medical bills and one class in uni!

Hey folks!

My name is Chloe, and I live in Canada with my two wonderful cats, Zari and Tali.
Zari is 7 and a half, she's smart and gentle and super friendly. Tali is only a year and a half, and I adopted her back in February. Bless her big heart, she is not that smart.

Unfortunately, she doesn't understand that plastic, especially shoes, are not food: I baby proofed the house, hid all shoes.
Somehow, she managed to steal a shoe and hide it where I couldn't see it, and now, even more unfortunately, she is unable to expel it from her body.
On Wednesday, June 19th, she was completely fine. I went to work and came back, and at dinner time she did not want to eat.
On Thursday morning I found plastic in her litter box. I took her to the vet immediately that day, and the only place that had available appointments charged me $180 for the consult and the fluid injection they gave Tali.
They confirmed she has foreign matter stuck in her small intestine.
At the same time, they said they could only offer to keep her on an overnight stay and see if her gut movement would solve things by itself. Only for the stay and the IVF, they quoted me a $4,000 bill.
When I asked what the surgery to remove the blockage in the intestine would cost me, and they quoted me with a $8,000 bill.

I opted to take Tali home, where me and my roommate monitored her, gave her water via syringe and liquid food to keep her fed.
Unfortunately, by morning nothing had changed.
Friday afternoon I spoke again to the vets, and we fixed an appointment for a consult and a likely surgery on Monday, June 24th.

Over the weekend, Tali has managed to only eat some pumpkin, but hasn't managed to expel much, which will make the only solution a surgery.

I do not have a stable job: I used to be working 20 hours/week for someone who, unfortunately, made my mental health plummet, and I was forced to leave that job.
I did not receive a scholarship I was 99% certain I was going to receive.
And, as it usually happens, my student loans request was denied on a technicality, and because I'm now out of the range of time available to apply for my Spring Semester loans, I have a class that I haven't finished paying.
The amount is exactly $1079.67. However, because I'm late to pay it, fees are quickly piling up. Not just that, but my ability to enrol in new classes has been revoked.

In seven days, I will have to pay rent, which is $2180.00, plus bills such as my phone bill of $84.00, electricity and heat which is usually $300.00+ and basic living.

Currently, my credit card is maxed out, and my bank account reads $125.00 (I was paid this last Friday) and $4 dollars in my Savings account.

So yeah, maybe I shouldn't have left the job when I did, and if Tali didn't end up in such a predicament, I never would have gotten to this point, but I'm really struggling.
I am going to reapply for student loans once the process opens up again in July, but until then, I'm left to sell stuff I don't use and rely on the generosity of others.

Anything, literally anything could help right now. And even if you can't donate, please, please share if you know someone who can.

I just want to be able to provide Tali the care she needs, and rest assured THAT takes priority. Not the bills, not rent, not school.
As long as she's okay, as long as I can pay for what she needs, I can figure out everything else.

Here's a summary of the expenses:

  • Tali's consult on Monday - $150.00
  • Tali's surgery - $4,000
  • Rent - $2,180.00
  • Tuition - $1079.67
  • Phone bill - $84.00
  • GFM fees they collect from each donation (2.9%)

For a grand total of $7,493.67 before the GFM fees.

Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me.
