Hi, I'm Patrick
I'm trying to raise 1500 CAD in a attempt to help my girlfriend pay for testing on her dog.
Lucky is her 14~ year old German shepherd who suddenly lost mobility in her rear legs.
They took her to the vet today where they were told that multiple things had to be tested and the total bill could rack up to 4000+ CAD
The thing is due to her being old, it isn't covered by insurance.
Lucky is pretty set in her years, so its natural that she is getting some problems, but I want for my girlfriend to be able to go through all the options before making a decision.
So why if all the tests are totalled to over 4k, is the goal only 1500?
To be honest, this thing is something of a last resort. I've never used crowdfunding before and I'm so scared that it won't work or that no one will see this.
But the reason is is because my girlfriend decided to budget her tests to about this amount because she can't afford to spend more without putting her future at risk.
She (like many people I'm sure) lost her job during the pandemic and has been relying primarily on CERB to go through day by day living. Adding student debts on top of this makes it a huge struggle for her.
She also has told me that I shouldn't worry too much about it, but I'm pretty aware of her financial situation and this is a big deal.
So that's why I'm making this crowdfunding campaign to help her and Lucky.
Even if I made a third of my goal, I think I would be extremely thankful of everyone who donated.
Thank you for your time.
