Dearest internet, friends, family, and dog lovers. This fundraiser is for my dog, Loki. He's a 5.5 year old Lab mix; Rescued in 2020 from an animal shelter he has since been the best boy. Some of his favorite things to do are swimming; Chewing sticks and bones; Snuggles; Stopping every 5 feet on his walks for sniffs; and pretending he speaks English.

This summer he tore his ACL/ Meniscus. He recently had his TPLO surgery. Although I went through a more affordable animal hospital, of which I'm very grateful to have found, the cost of surgery was just over $4,600. His diagnosis with meds and X-rays was about $700. Additionally I had to take off work and lost wages there as well.

My name is Shawn Rice and his surgery has been not only a stressful event but a significant financial burden on me. I hope that reaching out for help may relieve even just some of this burden. To pay off this debt and set my credit right would mean the world to me.
