During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government temporarily paused loan payments, but life continued to throw obstacles my way. I faced unimaginable loss, including the passing of my father, brother, nephew, two uncles, and many other family members, which left me emotionally and financially drained. I applied for loan forgiveness, but the process has been unforgiving and complicated. My loan was moved or sold to another company, making things even harder. Now that payments have resumed, I find myself falling further behind and receiving letters threatening paycheck garnishments.
I am trying to raise enough to get out of the red and stop the wage garnishments. The funds will help me catch up on my student loan payments and avoid further financial hardship, giving me a chance to regain stability. Your support will help me breathe a little easier and focus on rebuilding after so much loss.
Faith has gotten me this far, and it's by faith that I'm asking for your help. As the saying goes, 'It takes a village to raise a child.' I have always tried to set an example for my kids, and I'm proud to share that my son is now a registered nurse. I carry both his loan and mine, which makes this journey even more challenging. You all are the village standing with me. Any support you can give will make a real difference in my life. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation.
