Hey everyone. Its just old broke down me. As most of you know in 2017 I had gastric bypass surgery. I lost alot of weight. It was supposed to be a whole new beginning for me. The first 2 years were amazing. Then I started to have many small seemingly easy to cope with medical problems. Had some bumps with my liver and heart was treated and recovered well. Then I began to have infection problems. Ended up going septic and damn near dyeing from it , well actually I did in ER and came back. About a year after that i started having problems with my brain from damage done by the high temps I had while septic. That was very scary. I would forget how to walk, write, and even some words. I remember not being able to say cow. IM like you know the animal we get milk from , steak etc. but my head would not remember cow. Eventually I healed and got better. Then slowly my Kidneys started going bad. Small but steady decline. Along the way last year I had a colon cancer scare I had to deal with . That put my transplant in serious jeopardy. I was on hold for awhile. I am set up for dialysis now because im pretty much in almost total failure. However im having trouble with it as well. My body is not responding correctly. I was just in hospital for for my hemoglobin bottoming out and do not have enough 02 in my blood. It was like drowning in water only I was sitting in my bathroom. I was gasping for air but there was just none there. It felt like i had run a marathon to go 5 feet to by toilet. I had to call an ambulance. Those of you who look out for me saw the story of my trip to hospital. It was horrific. I was in a hallway for 13 hours, then an overflow area for 3 days . I never made it to a room. They also found an infection in my left foot that was being treated. Everything about my treatment was horrid. I was getting worse. I finally had to sign myself out and leave. I called my team of Dr's and they all jumped in to help. Called on Monday was in there office on Wednesday. They are getting me back on track. Sadly It looks like i may need to go back in hospital for awhile. I don't want to go back to New Hanover. The transplant hospital is Greenville. I need to go up there for some testing and maybe some treatment. For now its short term. I can be admitted or I can stay at a hotel near the hospital while they are testing me. I'm going to miss work and will need to pay for room , gas and food for a few days and could use some help. I want to stay in a hotel at night so I can have some freedom and comfort. I don't know anyone up there and at least will have TV, real food and privacy to sleep since I'm not gonna have any visitors LOL If anyone can help in any way they can I would greatly appreciate it.
