Help me overcome Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis

Hi, my name is Stuart, and I'm reaching out to share my story in hopes of receiving your support and kindness during this challenging time in my life.

In 2005 I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA). This condition has turned my world upside down, affecting not only my physical health but also my emotional and financial well-being. GPA causes inflammation of blood vessels in various organs, and unfortunately, my kidneys have been severely affected.

Over the past few years, I've undergone countless treatments, including high doses of steroids and immunosuppressants, to manage the symptoms and slow down the progression of the disease. Despite the efforts of my medical team and my own determination, my kidney function has continued to decline, and now, the only option left is a kidney transplant.

As you can imagine, the prospect of a transplant brings both hope and uncertainty. While it offers a chance at a healthier future, it also comes with significant financial burdens. Even with insurance, the cost of surgery, post-operative care, and lifelong immunosuppressant medications is overwhelming.

That's why I'm turning to you, my friends, family, and community, for support.
