Hey guys! Its me again. First off, I wanted to thank everyone who donated to my last go fund me. I wanted to give update from that last go fund me though. A friend of mine since I was in my early teens made that go fundme for me. Sadly, I was burned by that friend, and I had never received all those funds from that collection. Which ultimately lead me to go down a road I didnt want to go down. I was forced to start a investigation into it. Through that investigation which ended near the end of Oct. I found out the individual had used the funds irresponsibly. I received 2/3rds of those funds. As of now its currently out of my hands and being handled now through the fraud dept.
So here I am again asking for help. The amount I am asking is simply a goal. Any and all helps. Last time I had my friend shut off the donations as it had reached its goal and beyond and kept climbing. You all pulled through and donated to a guy down on his luck. I hate asking and feel like I am failing at times. But I know I aint. I still get up everyday and keep going one foot in front of the other. I am learning it's ok to ask for help when needing it. This whole journey for me had started just over 2years ago. Where they started taking off toes to eventually a above the knee amputation back at the end of May.
I am needing help still to keep bills on and stay above water until i can find my way back to work. I am still out trying to do what I can. Recently my dad has been helping me keep the bills afloat. But he doesnt make much himself. He has moved in with me to help out. Some of you may have seen me at some of Vals tournaments this Nov. I promise I am not out staying in hotels or spending what little money I do have or scrape up. I am sleeping in my car or driving up the night/ morning of and leaving right after. My daughter Charlie helped get us there one trip and other trip she let me use her car thats extremely great on gas with my dads help financially for gas. I have been lucky to meet some amazing people through this sport and its giving back a piece of me I lost many years ago. Before joining this sport. And the support I have been giving from my family to also get to these places to continue supporting my kids the best and parent can.
Currently my AKA amputation is healed finally. I had my last amputation in Oct to drain the infection and fluid built up from a hematoma. There was a wound at amputation site that wouldnt heal. Since draining the infection. It is now healed all the way and doing much better. I am doing my part to try become a productive member back to the work force. I attend weekly doctor visits to wound clinic, and to the prosthetic doctors. I have applied for social security disability until I can get back to work. I have been denied twice appealing again. Insurance has denied covering the level needed for my prosthetic leg. So appealing that as well. The cost of gas getting to these is also a burden.
With what happened last time on the go fund me. I felt it best that I have full control of any and everything that comes through. I know this askign of help has come at a difficult time and place for some as we are nearing the holidays. I appreciate any and all help even if it's a share. I love you guys either way. I truly appreciate every single one of you all and means the world to me more than you all know. Hope to see you all out and about.
