Hi everyone, I’m asking for help with something that means a lot to me. About 5 months ago, I began fostering a puppy who has since become a huge part of my life. What started as fostering quickly turned into a deep bond. I’ve been caring for him every day, training him, and covering most of his needs out of my own pocket, including food, treats, toys, beds, leashes, supplements and veterinary care. The rescue covered only one vet visit but everything else has been my responsibility, and something I’ve taken on willingly because I love him. Over time, he has grown, learned, and settled into my home. He is not just a foster dog to me anymore; he feels like my child.

When I recently asked about officially adopting him, I was informed that there are upfront costs, including an adoption donation and refundable deposits for training and neutering. While I understand that rescues have expenses and policies, this amount came as an unexpected financial hurdle, especially within a short timeframe. I was given a short extension, but I am currently unable to cover the full amount on my own in time. I am doing everything I can because the thought of losing him after these past 6 months is heartbreaking. I love him with every ounce of my being and have adjusted my life around him and would be devastated to no longer have him to come home to. He is already home. He is already loved. I just need help making it official.
