Jeanine’s Story

Recently, my friend, Jeanine, received an unexpected cancer diagnosis, and she is now facing some important decisions about her treatment and all that entails.

She's been taking the time to get expert opinions, explore the treatment options available to her, and make thoughtful decisions about the care that is right for her particular situation. Her goal is not simply to treat the cancer, but to do everything she can to protect her health, her quality of life, and her ability to continue living the life she loves.

The costs associated with cancer can extend well beyond the treatment itself. Specialist consultations, additional testing, treatment, medications, supportive care, travel, and time away from work can add up quickly- particularly when seeking specialized care and multiple expert opinions. I'm creating this fundraiser because I want Jeanine to have the freedom to pursue the care she feels is right for her without allowing the financial burden to limit her choices or put additional strain on her.
