I am a single dad doing my best to care for my kids, who live two hours away from me. Every other weekday, I need to pick them up and spend time together, but lately, it’s become almost impossible. My van is on its last legs—the transmission is going out, and I have no one else to rely on for help. Getting to my kids has become a real struggle, and it’s heartbreaking not being able to be there for them as much as I want.
