Help me & my family to survive from the war

My name is Yahya Azriq, I am 23 years old, from Gaza City. It is with great sadness that I write this article after I lost my father, my home, my dreams, and the future of me and my family, and I fear losing another person from my family in this systematic genocide carried out by the occupation on my city.

I am a student in my final year at the university, majoring in basic education - College of Education. I was not able to complete my educational career due to the aggression against my homeland. On October 7, the suffering began and we moved from one area to another several times according to the occupation’s threats to us. We were displaced from our homes and became displaced people seeking refuge in a tent in the street, without food or clothes to suit the fluctuations of the seasons, from hot and cold... after we were living in our home in safety, me and my family.

On January 27, my father went to check on the house and brought some food in the house and some supplies of clothing and a blanket to protect them from the bitter cold. But after he left, we lost contact with him and we were not able to go home to check on him. After a month had passed, the occupation went to another area, so we hurried. To go home despite the danger in the area and the heavy presence of occupation aircraft in the area, and despite the rubble in the house after the bombing, we entered the house in a bypass way so that the occupation aircraft would not monitor us. We were surprised by this terrible scene, which was seeing my father lying on the ground after we learned of the occupation. By executing my father, they shot him dead without mercy and compassion, and we buried him in a place where he did not belong because of the dangerous and difficult situation we are facing.

After everything that happened, we decided to go outside the country for fear of losing another person from my family and try to start a new life despite all the pain. I want to try to maintain my father’s loyalty, take care of the family, and try to find work to cover the family’s expenses, and so that I can leave the country and do all of that. It requires $5000 - $7,000 to reach the Egypt crossing, all this amount without the rest of the expenses
