HI MY BIRTHDAY IS THIS MONTH AND I WAS JUST OFFERED A JOB AND I NEED HELP SECURING FUNDS FOR MOVING.
I AINT TOO PROUD TO BEG!! IMMA DO WHAT I NEED TO DOOOO!! IM BLACK AND TRANS!!!

I’ve found myself in a position to move both out of exploration and necessity. Some of you may know that I recently broke up with my nesting partner of 6 years. We lived together and split our expenses equitably which contributes to how I was able to get back on my feet. For reasons that extend beyond breaking up, we decided to live apart which is exciting for both of us, but also has me assessing my out of state options.
I’ve been dividing my energy between searching for roommates and searching for employment out of state as a way to explore the expansiveness of this opportunity.
As of 7/11, I was offered employment with an LGBTQ+ advocacy organization based in Nashville, TN! I’m honored to have the prospect of being a Black, trans adult accomplice to queer youth in the south!! With the way timing has shaken out, I’ve found myself in need of help securing funds in order to make this move happen!
Here’s the breakdown…
- August rent in current apt: $700
- Security deposit: $1000
- Moving cushion: $300
I’ll be all set to cover my rent and living expenses once I’m moved in, so no need to worry about the sustainability of this decision :)
Folks are also encouraged to use Venmo @ejjwhiite if that is preferred! As always, I will be adjusting the goal here to account for any funds I may receive from other sources (including Venmo, Zelle, cash, etc) and to account for any changes in circumstances (lower security deposit costs, etc)
