I hate to do this, because I typically don’t ask for help on things; especially financial.
However, with a recent job change that required me to take a large pay cut, unfortunately I have to swallow my pride and ask.
Me Meow broke one of his fangs off a few weeks ago, and the infection from it impacted all of his teeth. In turn, he has to have all of his teeth removed. He’s struggling to eat, and the vet said he needs to have them out as soon as possible.
As a senior (14 year old) cat, he’s more prone to these kinds of infections causing more serious issues. The vet says other than his teeth, he’s an overall healthy boy, so getting his teeth out will allow him to continue living a normal, pain-free life. The quality of life for him is the most important thing for me.
Me Meow has been my best friend for the last 10 years. I adopted him after he was abandoned at the shelter, and he’s so incredibly important to me. He’s been the only thing that’s kept me going some days. He’s not only special to me, but to family and friends too.
Unfortunately because it’s considered a pre-existing condition, I’m not able to get pet insurance that would help cover it.
I am still paying off a prior vet bill of his as well.
I’m asking for $1600 to cover the cost of his surgery, as well as $150 for any after care needs he may have (such as antibiotics, special foods, etc.) and the time I will have to miss from work to take care of him.
Anything at this point helps. This is very much a last resort for me. I don’t want him to be in pain and I want him to feel good again.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you in advance for anything you’re willing to donate to help him out. We appreciate anything you can send our way.
