Hey—I'm a teen kid from Texas and my biggest dream is to meet the cast of Supernatural—Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, Ruth Connell and everyone else. They’re coming to Austin in November and I want to go more than anything.

When I first started watching the show, I was going through a really rough time—like, at home and at school. I was pretty down and started questioning if I should even be here. Nothing was going right and I was really struggling. My family loves me and I have some really great friends, but I didn’t know how to pull myself out of it. I just felt like my whole life I had been handed the short end of the stick and it wasn't getting better.

When I was in elementary, I had super thick glasses, trouble hearing, a speech delay, and ADD, and I didn’t always understand social stuff or boundaries so I was bullied… a lot. I’ve grown out of most of it now, but then middle school hit—and yeah… it can be brutal. I still don’t know how to stand up for myself very well. I just get mad and frustrated. I wasn’t doing well in school so I was getting into trouble a lot and things were just not going well.

Then my mom introduced me to Supernatural. It became our thing—we’d watch it together all the time. She had no idea how much it would actually help me. It gave me something to look forward to. And I really started to connect with Dean. Watching Jensen Ackles play him made me feel like maybe I could be stronger too. Dean faces everything head-on, even when it’s scary, and he still cares so much about people and doing what’s right. I want to be like that. I want to be more brave like that.

Honestly, he inspired me in ways I didn’t expect. Now I really want to be an actor someday. I’ve always been involved in theater but I started looking into auditions too. It’s scary, but in a good way—like maybe I’m finally doing something for me. I even had the courage to show up for golf tryouts with 42 other kids more experienced than me. I had never even been on a golf course before. I went from an alternate to playing in the region qualifier. I still have a long way to go, but things are looking up and I want to thank the cast of Supernatural in person for inspiring me. And for giving me new hope.

I would love to get their autographs and take pictures with them but it's thousands of dollars to do it all. My mom says we can go, but I need to raise the rest. I'm asking around for things I can do to earn money and I hope you will support me.
