Help Johno Access a Gender Affirming Surgery

Hey friends & kind strangers,
I’m reaching out because I’m about to take a huge step in my journey, and I need your help to make it happen. I’ve been on hormone replacement therapy for a little over 4 years now and it’s been an incredible part of aligning my body with who I am, but there’s a surgical step I need to take to see the woman I aspire to be. I’m hoping to finally get a breast augmentation. This procedure will give me a chest that’s a more appropriate size for my body and correct some of the asymmetry I’ve been struggling with. Yay!
Most of us know the political climate for transgender individuals is especially rough right now, and I won’t lie—it’s A LOT to worry about. But, I refuse to let the fear mongering deter me or allow me to think this surgery can’t happen. I’m determined to live authentically and with your financial help—I’ll be able to.
The surgery itself costs $17,500 out of pocket. I'm a self-employed hairdresser without the luxury of insurance, PTO or a steady paycheck to cover my costs while I heal. On top of the out of pocket cost, there are expenses like travel and lodging since the doctor is out of state. There’s also the 6-8 weeks I’ll need to recover, during which I won’t be able to work, let alone lift my hands above my head.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting me in any way. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just sending kind thoughts my way, it all helps. This will be a crucial step in my transition, and I’m really excited, nervous, and HOPEFUL to be able to share the journey with all of you.
