Hi, my name is Hannah.
I am a full-time wheelchair user due to having Cerebral Palsy. Those of you who know me well will know that since January, I’ve been working hard on my fitness journey. I’ve been focused on training to complete two Hyrox events – Birmingham in October and London in December.
I train regularly at my local PureGym. Unfortunately, the gym has limited adaptive equipment, which can make training difficult and, at times, quite frustrating.
That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for help in raising funds for a wheelchair-accessible treadmill. This specialised piece of equipment is designed to allow wheelchair users to exercise safely and effectively. It will give me the opportunity to improve my cardiovascular health, build strength, and maintain upper body mobility.
Having this equipment in the gym will help keep me motivated, and I hope it will also encourage other wheelchair users in the community to join and feel confident in the space.
These treadmills are not cheap, which is why I’m turning to the kindness of the community, friends, and generous strangers.
Any contribution – big or small – will make a meaningful difference. And if you’re not able to donate, I’d be so grateful if you could share this campaign with others.
Thank you so much in advance.
Hannah
