Hello Friends & Family!

My name is María Belén, I am 22 years old and I am a Guatemalan triathlete ready to make history!

 I’m incredibly excited to announce my selection into the inaugural Chicago RiverSwim, a charitable event hosted by the Chicagoland non-profit A Long Swim. I'm one of 500 lucky individuals who will soon swim among the city's famous skyscrapers and under its iconic bridges for the first time in nearly 100 years!

Prior to participating on Sunday, September 21, 2025, I've committed to fundraise on behalf of the event's two beneficiaries: supporting collaborative ALS research and providing swim lessons for Chicago's underprivileged youth.

I have also sign up for the Chicago Sprint Triathlon on August 24th and Im raising money for the Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago so any amount of money will help!

I'd be honored if you could make a contribution, of any amount, toward my fundraising goal. Further, if you are as inspired as I am, please share this with your network and plan to witness me conquer the Chicago River on Sunday morning, September 21!
