Hi everyone!

My name is Tenaya. I wanted to share something really important and exciting that I’ll be doing this summer. As part of a Camps International expedition, I’ll be travelling to Ecuador for 4 weeks to take part in community and environmental projects - many of you are am sure familiar with these trips.

While I’m there, I’ll be supporting local communities through work such as improving school facilities, helping with conservation projects, and learning about sustainable living. It’s an incredible opportunity to make a real difference, as well as develop my independence and understanding of the world. As some of you might know, I am really keen to study Psychology at uni and I am sure my experience in Ecuador will not only make me discover more about myself but also about children and other societies and cultures.

Over the past months, I’ve already been volunteering weekly in a school, supporting a child with learning difficulties and learning more about child development. This has made me even more passionate about helping others and getting involved in meaningful projects.

To make this trip possible, I need to raise a further £2500 on top of what I have raised so far. I’ll be working hard to fundraise, and I’d be so grateful for any support along the way.
