Help me live. Due to unemployment I’m behind on bills

The pandemic wiped out my photography business and I had to take a job as a delivery driver. I’m 63 years old and the work is brutal on my body. I was assaulted on the job and injured several times since, resulting in the termination of my contract. I was out of work for 3 weeks, so no pay. I have secured a new contract with a different company but there is a 2 week lead time before you get paid. I am at my wits end because I have no money to get to work or cover my rent due on January 1, if I don’t pay I will be evicted. I am hugely embarrassed by my situation and if any of you can help me it would be truly amazing and very much appreciated.
