For a long time, I’ve been performing a version of myself designed for a corporate desk. I’ve reached the point where the cost of staying—mentally and physically—is higher than the cost of starting over.
I’m choosing to stop masking and start healing.
The Vision: A Path Built on Purpose
This isn't just a break; it’s a professional pivot. My goal is to become a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor. BASI is a globally recognized, rigorous program that will allow me to teach anywhere in the world.
I am betting on myself to build a life centered around movement, the sea, and intentionality. And I’m not doing it alone—my daughter (and ESA), Rhaenyra, will be right by my side as we navigate this transition.
The Investment: Where Your Support Goes
To make this leap, I am raising $10,000 to cover the essential costs of this transition:
• $7,000 | BASI Certification: Full tuition for this world-class professional training.
• $3,000 | The Leap: Relocation costs and modest temporary housing for me and Rhaenyra as we settle near the coast and I deepen my practice.
The "Why" Behind the Mission: Creating a Space for Everyone
Pilates changed my life, but I almost walked away from it three years ago. During my first few classes, I felt invisible; the instructor didn't offer modifications, corrections, or even a simple welcome. It was discouraging and, honestly, it hurt.
I nearly quit my trial pass until a new teacher arrived and changed everything. They showed me that Pilates is for every body.
My Goal: As a BASI Certified Instructor, I want to ensure no one ever feels the way I did. I am training to build an inclusive practice where modifications are a priority, and every person who walks in—regardless of their background or level—feels seen, supported, and welcomed.
I’ll be documenting every step of the journey, from BASI training to Rhaenyra’s first proper beach day.
Even a small contribution helps move us forward. Let’s build a life that feels good.
