My Journey to Strengthen My Jewish Identity
Hi, my name is Matti, and I’m raising funds to study at Aish Yeshiva in Jerusalem—a place that feels like home and where I know I truly belong.
I wasn’t brought up in a super religious environment, but Judaism was always there in the background. As I got older, I started feeling like there was more to it than just tradition—something deeper, something meaningful. I just didn’t know where to start.
That changed when I went to my first Aish event at school. I don’t know what it was, but something clicked. I stuck around afterward to help set up the next session, and before I knew it, I became an Aish leader, bringing more people in and building a real community. I finally felt like I was part of something bigger.
Then came the trip that changed everything—Auschwitz. Standing there, I felt the weight of our history, but also a deep sense of responsibility. It hit me that I don’t just want to be Jewish—I want to live Jewishly, to understand what that really means, and to help others do the same.
Why Aish Yeshiva?
I started learning more, attending weekly Torah sessions, and with every conversation, every new idea, my curiosity grew. Then I visited Aish Yeshiva in Jerusalem, and it was like something inside me just settled.
Standing at the Kotel, I felt connected to something bigger than myself. The learning, the atmosphere, the people—it all felt right. I knew this was where I needed to be.
How You Can Help
Getting to Aish Yeshiva isn’t cheap. For Tuition alone I need to raise £24,000 to make this happen. If you can help—whether it’s a small donation or just sharing this with others—it would mean the world to me :)
This isn’t just about me learning for myself. It’s about growing, giving back, and helping others find meaning too.
Thank you for being part of my journey. Every bit of support brings me closer to making this dream a reality.
