On April 6th at 11:54 AM, my world stopped.

I sat beside my father, Eddie Miguel, and held him through his final moments. I watched the strongest man I’ve ever known take his last breath… and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

I’m not okay.

My dad wasn’t just my father—he was my person. My protector. My safe place. The one I called for everything. The one who always showed up, no matter what. And now… he’s gone.

I keep replaying those moments in my head. The silence after. The emptiness. The reality that I will never hear his voice again, never hug him again, never see him walk through the door.

I am completely shattered.

I’m a single mother of four children, and right now I’m trying to be strong for them while barely holding myself together. I haven’t even had time to properly grieve because I’m faced with something no daughter is ever prepared for—figuring out how to lay her father to rest.

I don’t have the financial means to give him the goodbye he deserves.

My dad worked hard his entire life. He gave everything he had to the people he loved. He deserved peace. He deserved dignity. He deserved so much more than this.

And I hate that I have to ask—but I need help.
