Help me launch Project Cat on Steam

Hi! My name is Rodrigo, I’m 15 years old, and since I was 4 I’ve been passionate about video games.

I used to believe that it was impossible to publish my own game on Steam. I thought that only large teams with big budgets can publish awesome games.

But that’s not entirely true. I am got skilled enough to make a great game. It took a ton of work, but I have an good game I’d like to publish and share with the Steam community.

What is Project Cat?

A 1-bit (black & white) pixel-art platformer, where you control a lazy, sarcastic, and ironic cat who just wants… to sleep. The catch? He falls asleep automatically after a set amount of time, resetting the entire level!

The Story of Project Cat!

In a kingdom where cats and mice lived in eternal rivalry, something unexpected happened: the mice, tired of being the felines’ favorite snack, organized a surprise attack on the cats’ kingdom. In a single night, all the cats were captured and taken to the mice’s realm… well, almost all

Our “hero,” not so heroic after all, survived the attack simply because he was taking his afternoon nap (which turned into a night nap… and then a midnight nap...).

When he finally wakes up, he discovers he must rescue all the other cats before dawn, when the Rat King plans to get rid of them for good.

Now, this sleepy cat must make his way through:

With his feline skills of running and attacking (and maybe a yawn or an unnecessary joke or two), he’s the only hope for his captured friends.

Will our accidental hero manage to save the day… before his next nap?

Who is the main character?

The hero of Project Cat is… well, a sleepy, sarcastic, and absolutely carefree cat.

He doesn’t have a name — or at least, he can’t be bothered to tell you.

All he really wants is to sleep. But of course, the universe had other plans: magical forests, dangerous creatures, ancient bosses… and zero nap time.

Project Cat is the story of a cat who only wanted to sleep… but might end up saving the Cat Kingdom by accident or maybe not. He’ll decide… after his nap.
