I’m committed to building a community-backed poetry and performance program with no red tape, no gatekeeping—just real work for the people.

 For over two decades, I’ve carried this city on my back through poetry— Curating open mics. Organizing slams. Co-hosting showcases that brought national talent to Oakland stages and sent our local voices across the country.

 Now, I’m asking for your help to raise $5,000 to fund a yearlong series of community-driven poetry events.

 • Venue rentals throughout Oakland
 • Payment for poets, hosts, DJs, musicians & videographers
 • Promo materials & outreach
 • Artist travel costs
 • Slam prize money
 • Free youth events + low-cost 21+ showcases

 These events will uplift voices across generations and neighborhoods celebrating the power of storytelling, healing, and community.
