Help Me Launch My Dream Drone Project

Hi, I’m Omar — a self-taught RC plane and drone enthusiast from Tunisia.

Ever since I got my first RC car on my 6th birthday, I’ve been hooked. That little toy sparked something in me — a love for everything that moves, flies, and responds to a remote. Over the years, I’ve spent every free moment learning: tearing apart old gadgets, experimenting with electronics, and teaching myself how radio frequencies bring machines to life.

Now, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet — building a custom, high-performance drone completely from scratch.

So far, I’ve already designed and built the flight controller — the "brain" of the drone. It’s fully functional, and I’ve tested it successfully. What I need now are the final parts: strong motors, a reliable battery, and a lightweight but durable frame to get this drone in the air.

Why am I asking for help?

I work a humble job in a local shoe store, and my income barely covers basic needs like food and transportation. I don’t have extra money to buy the parts I need, but I have the skills, the time, and the passion to bring this project to life — if I can get just a little help.

This isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s my dream, my escape, and hopefully one day, my future career.

Why does it say I’m in England?

I’m based in Tunisia, but GoFundMe doesn’t support fundraising in my country. To work around this, I used my Wise bank account, which is set up in the UK so I can actually receive the funds. I wanted to be transparent about that, as many people have asked.
