Help me launch Local Carolina!

And then March rolled around, and we watched as our dream fell apart. Shows were canceled, venues closed their doors, and quarantine began. After a solid two months of denial and a few more of panic, we calmed down and realized our plans would have to change. Our Music helped pay a big chunk of the bills, and with less opportunity and permanent closures, I knew we couldn't depend on entertainment alone to build our life.

So, I started thinking, and that's when the idea of Local Carolina was born. It truly broke my heart to watch as staples of my community closed their doors, many for good. It wasn't just the live music industry that has been decimated by the pandemic, nearly every industry is hurting. 


Small businesses are struggling, and in the age of the internet, it's become harder and harder for folks to connect to their local community. Local Carolina aims to bridge that gap. How? We will bring small businesses right to the customer's doorstep. I will personally be vetting, testing, and selecting the best local products in Carolina's and curating an experience in a box! We will put together themed boxes for one-time purchases such as "The Taco Tuesday box," "The Early Bird Box," and "Sweets For My Sweet." We will also offer a surprise monthly subscription for those who want to give back on a regular basis and discover the best of the Carolina's while they're at it!

What sets us apart? The entire purpose of this company is to usher people into the beauty in their back yard. We will take intentional steps to create a personal connection between the customer and each and every business represented in the box. In addition, each package will feature local Carolina talent; such as musicians, artists, designers, and more! We have big dreams for this company and know, with the right help, we can get more people connected to their Local Carolina!
