Hello Everyone, family, friends, strangers, and everyone in between!
My name is Kelsie Rodriguez even tho most know me as Kelsiewanders cause of my instagram handle. I am 32 yrs old. Ive been dreaming for a few years now of hiking The Pacific Crest Trail. On Nov 9 2021 I secured a permit for a start date of March 25 2022.
I am Army Veteran 2009-2017, I wont be without any physical & mental challenges but I am determined to complete this for myself as a challenge. I plan to document the entire journey thru my social medias to include Youtube, Facebook, tiktok & Instagram for future me and all of you to see.
So In 2022, I will be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from the southern terminus in Campo, CA to the northern terminus in the boarder of Canada. Average 5 month hike.
On March 25th, I will begin my journey from the Mexican border into the desert. I plan on doing the trail on my own - but I am looking for some support from all of you.
With that being said, a decision like this takes a village! Though my friends and family have offered there love and support, I am looking for some financial help. With some left over debt from 2020 I currently have 2 jobs and some how still struggling to make this dream happen. I am looking to raise $5,000 in the next three months. These funds will go to the many costs that the trail offers - need for gear, food and resupply on trail, transportation, and other miscellaneous costs. Hiking the PCT can quickly become a very financially challenging adventure - averaging anywhere between $4,000 and $8000. Although I am budgeting my trip for the lower side of that, I still need help. I am starting from scratch, specifically in terms of gear, so most of your donations will allow me to purchase the gear that I need to make this possible (backpack, tent, sleeping bag, etc.) If you have any questions on specifically where your donations would be going, please do not hesitate to ask.
If you have anything to spare, please consider donating cash, knowledge, experience, good energy, or a quick facebook share! I am entirely grateful for how far I’vecome since daydreaming about hiking the PCT. And I am entirely grateful to all of you for reading this and considering helping me achieve this goal!
