Help me keep up with life - and my 7 year old!

Hi, I’m Amy; a full-time wheelchair user, adaptive athlete, wife to Kelly, and proud mum to a very energetic 7-year-old named Rupert and 3 cheeky pooches.
I’ve worked hard to be as independent as possible. I drive myself, I push my manual wheelchair, and I compete in adaptive sport — I’m strong, determined, and I don’t let much slow me down.
But here’s the truth: after a full day of work and training, the everyday things — the things I want to do most — become the hardest. Taking Rupert out for a walk, running to the shop with him, or just getting outdoors as a family takes everything I’ve got left. And more often than I’d like to admit, I have to choose between rest and the life I want to live fully.
That’s why I’m fundraising with the help of Northwich RUFC for a TriRide wheelchair attachment — a powered add-on that turns my manual chair into a hybrid electric one. It doesn’t take away my independence — it amplifies it. It means I can keep up with Rupert (who, trust me, never runs out of energy), walk the dogs and take some of the burden off Kelly. Enjoy family outings without burning out, and be present for the moments that matter without constantly asking for help or pushing myself to the point of exhaustion.
The TriRide isn’t something openly available and it comes with a price tag of around £6000 - more than I can manage alone. So, I’m doing something that doesn’t come easily: I’m asking for help.
Whether you can contribute financially, or just share this page to help spread the word, it means the world to me and my family.
Thank you for reading and supporting this next step toward a life with more freedom, less fatigue, and many more adventures with Rupert and Kelly.
With heartfelt thanks,
