I've recently been hit by the combo of my main conduit for working (my computer) having hardware failure, my former bank seizing all of my savings during debt consolidation, and increased heating costs during this frigid winter.

I have been getting rent paid, I have been keeping my roommate and I fed, the simple bills paid... But I have just been falling behind. I put so much into trying to fix my computer, to catch up on my debt; that I wasn't able to keep up with the power bill and its either I skip rent and pay it — or I lose power to stay housed. Every dollar I've earned from commissions has been drip fed into computer repair and bills I'm still behind on. I was given a chance of one final extension to pay the power bill and I've got until the end of february.

I have no family to support me, and I cannot just ask a singular friend for this money. I've been job hunting and doing interviews for part time jobs to do in addition to my current work and commissions, only to hear nothing back over and over for months. I don't know if its because there's something wrong with me despite my decent work history, if its because I'm trans, or some other variable.... But my current employment through an indie company can only give so much in our current state, especially after currency conversion and being without my usual tools. I am trying my best but these are the hardest hurdles I've had to overcome and they hit all at once.

My last resort, and the only suggestion I was given, was to turn to strangers for charity as much as I loathe to do so. I fear there is better people that need dire aide, but there is little more I can do but continue the mad scramble to get back to where I was if I don't do this.

The goal amount listed is enough to pay off my late power bill and ensure I can repair my computer, with a small cushion incase something else goes downhill.
