Help Me Keep Reaching for My Dream: From Survivor to Actress

Hi, my name is Tahneisha also known as Neicee J in the acting world, and I’m reaching out to you with a vulnerable heart, asking for help to continue pursuing a dream that has not only transformed my life but has also helped me heal from my past.

For 22 years, I had carried the pain of being sexually abused by family members, holding that silence deep inside. I couldn’t speak up until just before my father passed away. My journey didn’t end there. Later, I was trapped in an emotionally, mentally, and physically abusive marriage. I felt worthless, torn down at every turn, and struggled to find my voice.

But through it all, God was with me. After my ex-husband went to prison, I found the strength to speak my truth. I wrote an autobiography about my life, documenting my healing journey from abuse and trauma. What started as one book, became three, and I realized I was meant to help others who felt silenced and broken to find their own voice and healing.

Then, in January 2023, something unexpected happened. I discovered acting—a gift I didn’t even know I had. Since then, I’ve been blessed to be part of 13 films and one stage play. Every role I take on helps me continue healing, and it’s become a path I never want to leave.

Since my recent divorce this past February, I’ve been supporting myself with a part-time job. But the reality is that following a dream in acting comes with real financial challenges. Traveling to auditions, filming locations, paying for meals, costumes, and gas for my car—these costs add up quickly. Right now, I’m struggling to cover these essential expenses, and I need your support to keep moving forward.
