Help me keep orphaned sisters alive in Gaza

Hi, my name is Helen Chin - I am from Toronto, Canada.

I am fundraising for my dear friend, Malaak, who is 16 years old and taking care of her younger sister. They are in Gaza. We have video calls and they send me pictures, and we chat everyday. They lost their parents and 3 sisters, and they are living in a makeshift "tent." I have been sending as much money as I can, but they need much more to survive, especially during this extremely rainy, cold season. Malaak is so sweet and never asks for anything, and is always apologizing for being a burden, despite being in such a desperate situation. Their needs are far beyond what my daughter and I can provide - everything is so expensive now. Just a used coat, if they can find one, is $100USD! When I met them they only had a thin sweater to wear and a "tent" made of bedsheets. Now they have a tarp ceiling to partially protect them from the rain and a blanket and a couple more sweaters, but they need so much more.

Please help these young girls survive! They have already lost their family, hopes and dreams, but they should not have to lose their lives as well.

The funds will be spent on increasing their chances of survival for the winter. We will be focusing on shelter (a proper rain-proof tent that can survive the harsh wind and rain; coat; blankets; sweaters; coal for fire). They will also spend the funds on food and water. They are lucky if they can eat one pice of bread a day at most - they need more money to buy food. They also need money for medicine because of the illnesses they have been getting due to the horrible conditions there.
