Help Me Keep My Midwifery Dreams on the Road
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nia Elcock. I’m a full-spectrum doula and a passionate student midwife currently attending the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery. I’ve dedicated my life to walking alongside mothers through one of the most sacred transitions—birth—and I’m working hard every day to become a licensed midwife who can serve families with skill, compassion, and cultural wisdom.
But right now, I’m facing a major challenge.
My car, which I rely on for school, clinicals, prenatal visits, births, and all the pieces that make up this demanding path, is on its last wheels—literally. Without reliable transportation, my ability to continue this work and education is at serious risk. I commute regularly for hands-on training and to support families across the community. Missing a birth or clinical due to transportation would not only interrupt my training but could impact someone’s sacred birth experience.
That’s why I’m reaching out to my community for support.
I’m raising funds to help purchase a dependable vehicle that can get me to school, births, and back home safely—without the daily fear of breaking down. Every dollar you contribute brings me one step closer to being able to continue my midwifery education uninterrupted and fulfill my purpose of nurturing mothers and elevating community care.
If you’ve ever believed in the importance of birthwork, if you’ve been supported by a doula or midwife, or if you simply want to support a young Black woman pursuing a dream of care and healing—this is a way to be part of that journey.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for contributing what you can. I promise to pay this love forward—one birth, one family, one soul at a time.
With gratitude and hope,
Nia Elcock
