Hello to all possible Givers, my name is Vanessa. I have spent the last year fighting one battle after another. From learning of my mother’s diagnosis last year after an incident (2 aneurysms in her head), helping her retire, dealing with her insurance to get approval for CT scans and recently another MRI, to learning to fill out her paperwork so she could access her pension and get social security. I’ve also had to deal with having my phone stolen, hacked and being robbed clean of my checking and savings account. It wasn’t much but it was enough to avoid housing court. Alas, I was forced to start from scratch financially and ended up in housing court. I have 2 jobs. I work 6 and sometimes seven days a week. I am at my wits end. My nerves are shot. I barely sleep without having stress-induced dreams. I wake up hyperventilating and my heart slamming in my chest. I’m doing everything I can to avoid spending money. I have LED lights all over my apartment so I don’t run up the electricity. Some days, I can eat one meal and split in two. I’ve tried getting government assistance and finding charitable organizations that might help but as a single person with two jobs and no children, I tend to get bypassed. I stand before you, humble and almost undone. I’m out of options. I am asking for help to get me out of this situation.

P.S.: I’ve been keeping up with the current rent. The amount of money I am humbly begging for was accrued due to the theft of my phone and the hacking of my bank accounts. All money raised will go to paying rent arrears. Thank you for reading. I hope you are all well.
