My life has turned completely upside down in the past year. My husband went to jail and rehab, and we are now separated. About four months after that, I lost my job. I was able to collect unemployment for a while since I have always worked, but that has now run out. The added stress has taken a toll on my health, and I had to file for disability. Because of everything, I have become a shut-in and it’s been hard to see a way forward.

To make things even more difficult, my furnace and breaker box broke down in February. My landlord is having these things fixed, but is raising the rent to cover the expense. I am now facing a rent increase at the worst possible time, and I am struggling to keep up. The funds I raise here will help me pay my rent and keep a roof over my head while I wait for disability approval. This support will help me avoid eviction and give me a chance to get back on my feet.
