I've battled a recent illness with a staph infection in my face. The staph infection has left me unable to work for several weeks. My phone bill, electric bill, and rent are all due, and I don’t have any money to pay them. My wife was expecting a full paycheck today, and I was planning on using a good portion of that to give to my landlord. Her direct deposit hit today and it was way less than half of what we expected. So today makes four weeks since I’ve been able to pay my landlord anything and I’m on the brink of being evicted. I have been unable to see my daughter Tessa in more than two weeks because we don’t have the money to Uber her over here to see me. I don’t have a lot of outside help. It’s not because I’m a bad person. It’s just because I’m not much of a people person so I don’t have many close relationships in my life outside of my wife and my daughter. I’m facing the real possibility of losing everything, including my home and my three dogs. This situation is also keeping me from spending time with my two-year-old daughter, which is incredibly hard for me as a parent.

The money raised will go directly to my landlord to catch up on last month's rent. Any additional funds will help cover my phone and electric bills, so I can keep a safe and stable home for myself, my dogs, and my daughter. It took a tremendous amount of hard work and blessings to be able to get into my current home, and losing it all because I was unable to work for a month would be extremely disheartening and set me back years.

I’m really grateful for any help that someone might feel led to provide. I’m actively looking to get back to work full-time—I’ve reached out to all of my former bosses and friends, and I’ve filled out a lot of applications online. I’m not looking for a handout—just a hand up to get me through this tough time so that I don’t lose everything. If anyone can put me to work, I’m ready to start immediately.
