I have been facing long-term unemployment, and my unemployment benefits ran out in December 2025. While I am actively searching for work and taking on any gigs I can find, it simply hasn't been enough to keep up with my utilities and mortgage payments, let alone one-time costs of ensuring professional standards. Each month, the stress of not knowing if I can keep my home or cover basic needs has weighed heavily on me.
The funds raised here will go toward covering my essential bills and helping me stay in my home. Every bit of support will help me keep the lights on, pay my mortgage, and make sure I have what I need to maintain my ability to continue my job search. I have some job-searching costs as well, such as the cost of keeping a certification current, and ensuring I can continue to look for even the gig / freelance work. These costs are broken down below. Your kindness will give me the stability I need to keep moving forward and focus on finding steady employment.
I'd love to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for considering a donation or sharing my story. Having experienced homelessness before, I know how difficult it can be, and I am doing everything I can to avoid going through that again. Your support means more than words can express, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can offer.
Breakdown of Needed Funds
This list shows you why there are smaller funding targets, and where the money goes to:
- LLC fees so I can continue freelancing ($350, yearly);
- Renewal of my accessibility certification (it renews every three years and requires continuing credits; however the renewal fee for non-members or anyone who's let their membership lapse in those three years, is $200);
- Loan consolidation payment, to pay off years of credit card debt ($480, monthly);
- Internet and phone ($180 per month) so I can keep looking for work;
- Ensuring I can obtain medication and get a new CPAP (mine has died after 5 years, and breathing is important);
- Groceries and any left into mortgage, so I can keep a roof over my head.
