Hi my name is Marleni Arevalo, I’m 39 years old. I'm Guatemalan but currently live in New york. I'm a mother of two. I want to share a little of my story with you.

I'm a cancer patient. In 2010 I was diagnosed with thymoma cancer for the first time. It followed with open heart surgery to remove the tumor, followed by 6 months of chemotherapy. Thankfully in the end I was cancer free. Unfortunately, in 2020 the doctors gave me the news that cancer came back. This time in my Uterus, which created two metastases, one in my Breast and another in my Pancreas. The doctors proceeded with two surgeries to remove the tumors, one in the same year where they removed my Uterus where the bigger tumor was present. Due to cancer becoming more aggressive two tumors grew in my pancreas, doctors removed these tumors in November of 2022. All of this is followed with multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation, with the purpose to eliminate this illness. Recently, I had a followed up checkup for my surgery where it was clear to the doctors that further treatment was necessary. This included more rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy where the goal is to prevent a new metastasis that could affect my Lungs and to finish eliminating cancer in my Pancreas, so I can keep living. As you may know, these treatments are very expensive, and for me to receive these three treatments I need to pay a total of $25,000 that insurance does not cover. My family isn't able to live up to these costs due to our economic status, this is why I reach out to your kind hearts to ask for help. The quantity isn't important to me and if you aren't in a position to help me with a donation a simple prayer would mean a lot to me. Either of the two you will be helping me to keep fighting for my life. Unfortunately, due to other chronic illnesses, I have like Myasthenia Gravis, Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Diabetes, and others limit my capability to go back to work, therefore it's very hard for me to be able to pay for these debts and household costs. Mi nombre es Marleni Arevalo tengo 39 años de edad, soy madre de dos hijos, guatemalteca, residente de la ciudad de New York, déjame contarte un poco de mi historia.

Soy Paciente Oncológica, en el año 2010 fui diagnosticada por primera vez con un cáncer de Timo, el cual requirió de cirugía de corazón abierto para extraerlo junto con 6 meses de quimioterapia intravenosa, lo cual fue suficiente para declararme en ese mismo año libre de cáncer. Desafortunadamente en el inicio del año 2020 los médicos vuelven a darme el diagnóstico de cáncer, esta vez de Útero, el cual había hecho dos metástasis una en mi Seno y otra en el Páncreas, fui sometida a dos cirugías nuevamente, la primera en ese mismo año en la cual removieron el útero donde se encontraba el tumor más grande, y la segunda del páncreas donde debido a la agresividad del cáncer se desarrollaron dos tumores los cuales removieron en noviembre del 2022, desde mi segundo diagnóstico en 2020 he tenido que someterme a varias rondas de quimioterapias y radiaciones con el propósito de erradicar la enfermedad, recientemente me realizaron una evaluación post operación y es necesario que sea nuevamente sometida a quimioterapia, radiación e inmunoterapia buscando así evitar en primer lugar una nueva metástasis que afectaría mis pulmones y terminar de erradicar el cáncer de páncreas para poder continuar viviendo, los tratamientos son costosos y para poder tener acceso a estos tres diferentes que requiero debo pagar un deducible total de $25,000.00 cantidad con la que lastimosamente mi familia y yo no contamos y es por eso que acudo a tu buen corazón para pedirte tu ayuda no importando la cantidad y si no estas en las posibilidades de ayudarme económicamente lo puedes hacer elevando una oración ya que por medio de cualquiera de las dos ayudas tú me estarás dando la oportunidad de poder seguir luchando y viviendo, desafortunadamente debido a la agresividad de los tratamientos y otras enfermedades autoinmunes como la Miastenia Gravis, Encefalomielitis Autoinmune, Enfermedad Mixta del Tejido Conectivo, Diabetes y otras más mi capacidad para poder seguir trabajando normalmente me será muy difícil disminuyendo mi capacidad para poder cubrir mis gastos médicos y personales agradezco por el tiempo que dedicaste para poder leer mi historia y deseo que Dios te bendiga.
