Back in 2020, I was diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma, a rare form of tumerous cancer. As I'm sure everyone remembers the chaos of that year, yeah, you will understand when I say the fight was not easy. Through strong medicine, skilled doctors, incredibly supportive friends and a hell of a lot of perseverance, we managed to remove the tumor and and restore mobility to my leg where the 16 lbs mass was. Though I had 5 years of scans coming to be sure, everyone was certain it had been killed and I would be okay.
This September we discovered it had metastasized into my arm. In my bone. Near my marrow. And now thus month, we have found a mass in my brain
Thankfully, we have caught both very early while the arm tumoris small and not growing quickly and the brain one wont kill me right away. However, the fact that it has returned in such a way means I need a round of chemotherapy for the next 3 months, in addition to the radiation and surgery which may also be required, to be sure it is fully purged and proton surgery for my brain. Fighting cancer twice in a year is physically and mentally exhausting, but it has also pushed our resources to the breaking point. That is why I'm asking for help to offset travel costs to see doctors, medical costs for procedures, and incidentals I will need to make chemotherapy tolerable for the next season, and two surgeries.
Any help you can give will be appreciated. And if you can't give, spreading the word will also be incredibly useful. The prognosis is good, and I'm determined to kill this thing once and for all, and with love and support, I will not stop until it is at last gone. And only I remain.
