Help Me Honor My Mother’s Legacy:

As-salamu alaykum,

I never imagined I would be in this position. I have lost both of my parents, and now I am left alone caring for my younger brothers. Overnight, my life changed completely. Instead of being able to grieve properly, I had to step into the role of guardian, provider, and protector for my siblings.

I am a full-time student and do not currently work, as my studies and caring for my brothers take up all of my time. We are struggling emotionally and financially, and there is no one around us to help or support us through this difficult journey.

This Ramadan, a month of mercy and blessings, my biggest wish is to honour my mother by placing a proper headstone on her grave. It breaks my heart that I cannot afford to give her this simple dignity. She gave us everything in her lifetime, her love, her sacrifices, her strength and now I want to give something back in her memory.

Beyond that, my dream, in sha Allah, is to one day build a mosque or contribute to building a masjid in my mother’s name as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuous charity that will benefit her even after her passing. I know this is a big dream, but with your support, anything is possible.
