My name is Jessica, and I am creating this fundraiser for my dog, Brownie, my emotional support animal and my rock. Brownie was taken by an alligator at the lakefront, and I am still struggling to process this horrific loss. We had been through so much heartache and so many battles together, and the thought of living life without him feels unbearable. Right now, I feel lost and numb, and on top of this heartbreak, I recently broke my ankle and have been out of work, which has made it impossible for me to cover the costs of honoring him the way he deserves. Brownie’s story was also featured on Channel 4 news and on Kenner PD News on Facebook, and I hope sharing what happened can help bring awareness to others.

I am asking for help so I can give Brownie a proper cremation, have a paw print keepsake made, and hold a memorial service to celebrate the life of a dog who meant so much to me and to so many others. Brownie was deeply loved, and the impact he made on people will never be forgotten. Any support given would be very much appreciated during this painful time. I also hope this fundraiser not only helps me honor Brownie, but also helps save a life by reminding others to stay alert and protect their pets.
