Cooking with Compassion is hosting free local community meals on Thursdays at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1710 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose from 9am-1pm.

Cooking with Compassion does more than serve meals. We also provide transitional employment and training in the culinary industry to unhoused and low-income people in the community.

We serve a Continental breakfast at 9am and a hot lunch at 12pm with a focus on healthy ingredients.

Every Thursday we gather around the table and share a meal and conversation.

All are welcome!

We gladly take food donations and volunteers. This fundraising provides wages for our workers and allows us to teach them valuable job skills that they can apply to bettering their lives.
