Anyone that knows me knows that I am an animal lover, big small wild or domesticated. Working with animals was always a dream but It took me years to gain the confidence to take those first steps to becoming a Vet Nurse. I am super excited to say I am officially Qualified!

I always promised myself that when I did become qualified I would put my skills to good use and Volunteer overseas. Not wanting to waste anytime I am getting out of my comfort zone and in November 2025 I will be heading to Peru to Volunteer for World Wide Vets. Working deep within the Amazon with Manatees, Woolley Monkeys, Spider Monkeys and Sloths among other wildlife, whilst also educating Peruvian communities on the importance of conservation and welfare as well as combating the illegal wildlife Trade.

Whilst I’ll be funding the majority of this trip myself I am also reaching out to you all in the hope that I can raise additional funds in order to extend my time volunteering for an additional week but to also purchase many of the surgical and preventive health supplies that are readily available in Australia in which we take advantage that aren’t available in Peru.

CAPSTAR for inside wounds 1 per month

Clavamox tablets and/or oral suspension: 62.5mg, 125mg, 250mg, 375mg. Generic great.

Medicated Dog shampoos/foams/sprays: anti-fungal, antibacterial (Keto-chlor, Malaseb,etc)

- Teddy bears/ soft toys for the animals (preferably with no plastic eyes or bits they can chew off)

- Mazuri insectivore pellets

- Hot water bottles and covers
