Hi Guys,

It was brought to my attention that there was a dog needing a new home. My bleeding heart went out to meet him and I knew instantly I couldn't leave him there.

Smegal is a 6 year old, intact, Chinese Crested dog. He is a complete sweetheart. I knew he needed to see the vet immediately and I got him in asap.

Smegals prognosis;

1. Smegals ears. I have never seen a mite infestation this bad. He could barely hear and the debris was unbelievable. Hes been given meds and has had his ears cleaned. The pain and itching in his ears has been almost unbearable.

2. He has a heart murmur. This will effect how we go about his treatments. He needs an xray to see what his heart looks like.

3. His teeth. They are so rotten. I had no idea when I took him home how bad they were. The vet said "i shouldn't be saying this outloud, but his teeth ARE SO BAD." I honestly dont know how he's been eating or functioning after seeing them.

4. His skin. We aren't completely sure what is the cause and obviously we have some major things to deal with but this will be a main concern as well. He needs special shampoos and ointment to help with irritation and an infection he has in his pelvic region.

Considering that everything that is going on with Smeegs. Hes the sweetest. Kindest. Loving little dog.

He spent the majority of his little life in a cage. I cant imagine what shape he would be in if he had to be where he was any longer than he was. I'm asking for help to get this little creature feeling better.

I was handed a 3200 dental bill for him.

Today the vet bill was 325 dollars and he has to go back in 2 weeks. It will be well over 4k to get my little buddy back to good health and I feel like he deserves it.

If you are willing to help, I would be forever grateful. Im just trying to do my best by this little soul.
